Call for Papers: IV Meetings on Ethics and Political Philosophy, University of Minho (Braga), May 20-21, 2013

After three successful meetings on previous years, we now welcome paper proposals for the fourth Meetings on Ethics and Political Philosophy, which will be held at University of Minho, Braga (Portugal), on May 20- 21, 2013.

We invite scholars of moral philosophy as well as of normative political theory who are keen to engage in a discussion with their peers to join in the meetings at which they can present papers or chapters they are writing, or topics they are working on. The invitation is open both to graduate and PhD students and to senior scholars.

This year, Professor Peter Vallentyne (University of Missouri, Columbia), will be our keynote speaker. He will offer a lecture on Animals and Equality and a lecture on Left-libertarianism.

If you are interested in presenting a paper on a topic of your choice, please send your contact and affiliation, an abstract (300 to 500 words) and 5 key words, by February 20th to the following addresses: [email protected] and [email protected]. Papers will be submitted to peer review.

Deadline for submissions: 30th January 2013

Deadline for notification of acceptance: 20th February 2013.

Information about registration, accommodation and travelling will soon be available online.
