LOW-COST AIRLINES flying to Portugal from different points in Europe:

TO PORTO:  Ryanair (from London, Paris, Dublin, Milan, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, Eindhoven, Brussels, Hamburg, among many others).

TO LISBOA:  Easy Jet (from London, Copenhagen, Paris, Berlin, Geneva, Amsterdam, among many others) or Vueling (Barcelona, Paris).


GETTING TO BRAGA


I. FROM PORTO

BY AIRPLANE

The closest airport to Braga is Sá Carneiro Airport  (code: OPO) in the suburbs of Oporto, 50 Km from Braga (31 miles). 
  • There is a direct bus service ('Getbus') from the airport to Braga and back, running every 2-3 hours (~10€)

  • You may also take the subway at the airport (LINE E – Direction: Estádio do Dragão; Ticket Z4: ~1,80€) and get ou at Campanhã stop. There, you take the train to Braga (Normal ticket: ~3€)

  • Alternatively, bus number 56 takes you from the airport to Oporto (every 20 minutes).
  • There is also the non-stop Aerobus, an express bus that takes you directly from the airport to Oporto (every 30 minutes). This service operates every day from 7am to 7pm.

BY TRAIN
Take the train in one of Oporto's train stations and get from there to Braga (Braga Line)
  • Campanhã Train Station (Largo da Estação, 4300-173 Porto)
  • S. Bento Train Station (Praça Almeida Garret 4000-069 Porto)

  • Take the bus to Braga in the Bus Station in Rua Alfredo Magalhães, 4440-452 Porto.

  • recommended route (57km)

BY TAXI: 
  • if you travel by taxi, the trip from the airport to Braga takes about 40m. and it costs approximately 55€.

II. FROM LISBOA


BY AIRPLANE

Portela Airport (Lisboa) is approximately 370 km from Braga.
From Lisboa to Braga there are several options available.

BY TRAIN
  • Santa Apolónia Train Station (Av. Infante D. Henrique, 2715-311 Lisboa)
  • Estação do Oriente (Orient Station) (Ed. Gare do Oriente, piso 1 – Av. D. João II 1990-233 Lisboa)

  • Estação do Oriente (Orient Station) (Ed. Gare do Oriente, piso 1 – Av. D. João II 1990-233 Lisboa). Public transportation network in the eastern area of Lisbon, linking the subway, bus and taxi.  Airplane passengers can check-in previously.

BY CAR
  • recommended route from Lisboa to Braga (approximately 365 km)

III. FROM GALICIA

BY BUS
  • from Santiago de Compostela, Coruña and Vigo to Braga: Go to the Bus Station and take the bus from there to Braga, with ALSA.
  • from Vigo to Porto: Go to Vigo Bus Station and take the bus from there to Porto (city center or airport) with AUTNA.

BY TRAIN
  • from Vigo to Porto: Go to Vigo Train Station (Guixar) and take the train to Porto.

BY CAR
  • recommended route from Vigo to Braga (approximately 110 km)

IV. FROM MADRID AND BARCELONA

Madrid: Several options available to get to Porto by airplane and bus. If you wish to drive, here is the recommended route from Madrid to Braga (approximately 535 km).

Barcelona: Several options available by airplane (to Porto).
